Every member of our council is called to be a man of prayer.  It doesn't matter what stage of life a brother is in --married, widower, single, father, grandfather, brother, son--each of us has someone we could pray with.  We can pray with spouses, children, roommates, parents, siblings, or by ourselves, depending on where the Lord has placed us at this time in our lives.
 
One marvelous way to pray is by saying the rosary.  Our Lady has frequently requested that rosaries be said to promote peace, save souls, and for many other reasons.  While praying a rosary, we honor her Son by meditating on His life. 
 
To promote family and community prayer, the council is sponsoring a Year of Rosaries from December 30, 2007 to January 4, 2009.  Members of the council sign up for a week of prayer

and then say a rosary each day during their week with their family, roomate(s) or themselves.
 
These rosaries can be said for any intention--it is just important that one rosary be said each day of the year.  The council does request that you pray for the council members and their families and for St. William's parish in addition to your other intentions.  Then we will all be connected through these prayers.
 
Participants will receive a guide to saying the rosary to ensure they have the words to the prayers handy when they pray.
