About Us

Chisholm Trail Council was chartered in May 1, 1986 through the efforts 88 charter members. It is named after the Chisholm Trail, an historic cattleman's trail which extended from south of San Antonio, Texas to Wichita, Kansas, (and other railheads).
Remnants of the trail, which passed through the "old town" of Round Rock and within a stone's throw of our council meeting place at St. William Church, still exist today.

The Chisholm Trail Council works closely with the St. William Parish Community, providing funds for the new church building, completed in October 2006, and scholarships for parish young people as well as numerous other parish projects.

At this time, the council is in process of building a pavilion on the church grounds, available to be used as "The Gathering Place" for parish activities and events, by Parish ministries, organizations and groups.
